Everyone involved in triathlon including volunteers, supporters and athletes of all ages and abilities, have their own personal story and connection to the sport. Throughout my triathlon career I have been touched by the story's of others who have had, or is battling cancer. Its been a personal motivation to raise my own awareness, education and raise funds towards cancer research and finding a cure.
A supportive team environment is an essential part of any Ironman journey. In addition to my own fundraising, I'll be supporting the IM Melbourne/TDC program and fellow fundraising athletes through mentoring, video messages, training tips and motivational quotes to assist our TDC/IM Melbourne Team reach their goals. I'm looking forward to the journey ahead and meeting amazing and inspiring people involved at all levels of this program.
