Highlights included meeting the TDC/IMM team at the Ironman Expo and the welcome afternoon tea at Hotel Urban, St Kilda. Seeing and hearing the cheers from the TDC support team at various motivational stations throughout the race course was a massive lift of encouragement. And running the final kms of the marathon with a fellow TDC team mate was a unique and special experience to finish what turned out to be a tough and long day - physically & mentally.

One of my life mottos are..."To live your best life - Pursue your passion, failure can be a gift, listen to your spirit, respect your body, gratitude is essential." The outcome of the race, whilst a disappointing result which doesn't reflect what I know I'm capable of, has certainly been an invaluable learning experience. There's so much to grow from personally as well as from an athlete's perspective. Experience - noting to loose only everything to gain. I also had the opportunity to meet amazing and inspirational people involved in this sport at all levels and roles, and that's a gift. There is something you can learn from everyone :-)
